Information you provide

If you create an account, CornerBuilt collects the name and email address you provide. Supabase processes your password and authentication credentials; CornerBuilt's profile table stores your account identifier and display name, but does not store your password in readable form.

If you explicitly request CornerBuilt Home launch updates or CornerBuilt Notes and the Weekend Project Planner, CornerBuilt sends the email address you provide to Resend and records your subscription to the selected public email topic. These marketing choices are separate from creating an account or receiving required authentication and order messages.

If you place an order, CornerBuilt receives and stores order contact information, purchased items, amounts, fulfillment status, and the shipping information needed to fulfill the order. Guest checkout does not require a CornerBuilt account. Order lookup requires the order number and checkout email and does not display payment or shipping details.

You may choose to email us at hi@cornerbuilt.com. Information in that message is voluntarily provided through your email service and may be used to read and respond to your communication. The CornerBuilt website itself does not receive or store a form submission when you send an email.

Information processed automatically

When you request a page, ordinary technical information may be processed automatically by the infrastructure that delivers and protects the site. Depending on the request, this may include an IP address, approximate location derived from an IP address, browser or device information, request details, and technical logs.

CornerBuilt records limited first-party build-guide interactions—such as guide views, opened steps, fit previews, shopping-link clicks, printing, and CornerBuilt Home handoffs—to understand whether guides are useful. A one-way hash derived from technical request information is used for approximate rate limiting and aggregate measurement; it is not used for cross-site advertising.

Cookies and browser storage

If you choose Light, Dark, or Auto, CornerBuilt stores that appearance preference in a first-party functional cookie named cornerbuilt-theme so the site can use your selected theme on future visits. The cookie stores only the selected appearance value and is not used for analytics, advertising, tracking, or identifying you.

The cart uses first-party local storage named cornerbuilt-cart-v1 to keep product identifiers, names, prices, and quantities on your device. Authentication uses strictly necessary first-party cookies managed through Supabase to maintain your signed-in session. These mechanisms are not used for advertising or cross-site tracking.

After a successful CornerBuilt Home notification signup, local storage named cornerbuilt-home-interest-v1 remembers that choice so the site does not repeatedly show the signup prompt when you follow that link.

The homepage planner prompt uses local storage named cornerbuilt-notes-prompt-v1 to remember a successful signup or a 30-day dismissal. It stores only that prompt preference, not the submitted email address.

Analytics and advertising

CornerBuilt uses its own limited guide-event records for aggregate product improvement and conversion measurement. CornerBuilt does not currently use behavioral advertising or third-party marketing pixels. If these practices materially change, we will update this policy before or when the change is introduced as appropriate.

If you ask the public build-guide assistant a question, CornerBuilt sends the question and that guide's verified content to OpenAI, stores the question and answer with the guide version, and records token usage and whether the answer was grounded, insufficient, or redirected for safety. Do not include personal, confidential, or sensitive information in a guide question.

If you submit a question from a public Product Passport, CornerBuilt stores the question with that product and counts repeated normalized questions so the team can decide what to test or explain next. The form does not request contact information. A one-way request hash is used to limit repeated submissions. Do not include personal or sensitive information in a product question.

Service providers

The site is hosted on Vercel. Vercel may process technical request and traffic information to provide, secure, monitor, and operate its hosting infrastructure. CornerBuilt does not represent that this infrastructure processing is the same as CornerBuilt-run analytics or that the operators personally review or profile visitors from it.

Supabase provides account authentication and database storage. It processes account and session information to register users, confirm email addresses, authenticate sessions, and store profiles. Learn more in Supabase's Privacy Policy (opens in a new tab).

OpenAI processes public build-guide questions together with the verified guide context needed to answer them. CornerBuilt does not enable web search or give the public guide assistant permission to change records, purchase products, or contact professionals.

Stripe provides secure hosted checkout and payment processing. Stripe collects and processes payment credentials directly; CornerBuilt does not receive complete card or bank-account numbers. Learn more in Stripe's Privacy Policy (opens in a new tab).

Resend delivers authentication email and manages explicitly requested marketing contacts, topics, broadcasts, preferences, and unsubscribes. Authentication and marketing use separate sending purposes and subscription state. Learn more in Resend's Privacy Policy (opens in a new tab).

YouTube hosts CornerBuilt videos. The privacy-enhanced YouTube player is not loaded until you choose to load it. When loaded, Google and YouTube may receive technical information such as your IP address, browser details, referring page, and playback interactions; YouTube may also provide non-personalized advertising in the player. External links and services

The site may link to external websites, including CornerBuilt Home (opens in a new tab) and the Buy Me a Coffee support page (opens in a new tab). Those websites have their own privacy practices, which CornerBuilt does not control.

Published video pages may provide a privacy-enhanced YouTube player and a direct YouTube shortcut. The player loads only after you choose to load it. Your interaction with YouTube, including watching through the embedded player or following the shortcut, is governed by Google and YouTube's policies.

Affiliate links and payments

When sellable inventory is published, the cart can begin Stripe-hosted checkout for CornerBuilt merch and Sydney's Art. Stripe processes payment credentials and returns payment status and transaction references to CornerBuilt. CornerBuilt stores shipping and order details for fulfillment but does not store complete payment-card details. Optional support transactions occur separately on Buy Me a Coffee.

Retention and sharing

Account information is retained while your account remains active and as reasonably necessary to operate the service. Order and transaction records may be retained for fulfillment, customer support, accounting, fraud prevention, disputes, and legal obligations. Email correspondence may be retained as reasonably necessary to respond. Vercel, Supabase, and Stripe handle service data under their applicable policies.

CornerBuilt does not sell personal information and does not operate targeted advertising. This statement describes CornerBuilt's current practices and does not make claims about every technical processing activity performed by our hosting provider.

Your privacy choices

You can sign out from the Account page and clear the cart or notification-prompt preferences through your browser's site-data controls. Marketing messages include an unsubscribe or preferences link so you can stop CornerBuilt Home updates, CornerBuilt Notes, or all CornerBuilt marketing. To request account deletion, exercise an applicable privacy right, or ask a privacy question, contact us at hi@cornerbuilt.com. We may need enough information to verify, understand, and appropriately respond to a request.

Children's privacy

CornerBuilt is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. People under 13 may not create an account.

CornerBuilt does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that a child under 13 created an account or otherwise provided personal information, contact us at hi@cornerbuilt.com so we can take appropriate action.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the website or its information practices change. The effective date shown on this page identifies the current version. Updates will be posted here.
