Purpose of the site

CornerBuilt is a family, media, and DIY website about videos, projects, building, family stories, useful products, recommendations, and related services such as CornerBuilt Home.

CornerBuilt shares a family's experience learning and building together. It does not offer professional contractor services or claim professional construction licensing.

DIY and informational content

Project and DIY content is provided for general informational and entertainment purposes. It is not a substitute for professional construction, engineering, electrical, plumbing, architectural, legal, medical, financial, or other licensed advice.

Every project and setting is different. Conditions, tools, codes, materials, and skill levels vary. You are responsible for deciding whether an activity is appropriate for you and for following applicable safety instructions, manufacturer directions, permits, and codes. Use a qualified professional when the work or your circumstances call for one.

Product content

The cart can contain CornerBuilt merch and Sydney's Art. Adding an item does not reserve inventory, create an order, or guarantee price or availability. An order is accepted only after Stripe confirms payment and CornerBuilt records the order. Product descriptions, pricing, availability, and fulfillment details can change before checkout.

Some build guides may contain affiliate links. When they do, CornerBuilt places a clear disclosure beside the guide's shopping recommendations. CornerBuilt may earn a commission from a qualifying purchase at no additional cost to you. Recommendations are editorial decisions and do not guarantee price, availability, compatibility, or suitability for your project.

Checkout, guest orders, and payments

You may check out with or without a CornerBuilt account. Stripe hosts checkout and processes payment information under its own terms and privacy practices. CornerBuilt does not receive complete card or bank-account numbers.

Prices are shown in U.S. dollars unless stated otherwise. Applicable shipping charges are shown before payment. Taxes are not currently calculated by the site; this may change after appropriate registrations and configuration. We may cancel and refund an order if inventory, pricing, fraud screening, fulfillment, or legal requirements prevent completion.

Order lookup requires the order number and checkout email. You are responsible for keeping those details private. The lookup provides limited order status and purchase information and does not display payment credentials or shipping addresses.

External links and CornerBuilt Home

The website may link to third-party sites or services. Those destinations are operated under their own terms and practices, and CornerBuilt does not control them.

The optional Buy Me a Coffee support page (opens in a new tab) is operated by a third party. Any support transaction, fees, refunds, account activity, or payment processing occurs under that service’s terms rather than through CornerBuilt’s website.

CornerBuilt Home (opens in a new tab) is a related CornerBuilt software product with its own website and, where applicable, its own terms and privacy policies. These Terms do not automatically govern use of that separate product.

Intellectual property

CornerBuilt branding, logos, original site design, original written content, and original photos, videos, project materials, and media are protected to the extent owned by CornerBuilt or its operators. Third-party trademarks, products, materials, and content remain the property of their respective owners.

You may view and use the site for ordinary personal, noncommercial purposes. These Terms do not create a commercial license to reproduce, distribute, or sell CornerBuilt's original materials.

Accounts and account security

You must provide accurate account information, keep your credentials confidential, and promptly notify us at hi@cornerbuilt.com if you believe your account has been accessed without permission. You may not impersonate another person, misuse another account, interfere with the service, or use an account for unlawful activity.

You must be at least 13 to create an account. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms or create security or legal risk. The website does not currently accept public account posts, comments, community uploads, or project uploads.

Sending an email to hi@cornerbuilt.com does not by itself grant CornerBuilt an unlimited license to use the message for marketing.

Availability and changes

Site content and features may be corrected, updated, changed, suspended, or removed. We do not promise that every page, feature, or external link will always be available or uninterrupted.

Warranties and responsibility

The site is provided for general informational and entertainment use. To the extent permitted by applicable law, CornerBuilt does not guarantee that site content is complete, error-free, suitable for every situation, or continuously available.

You remain responsible for your own decisions, projects, property, tools, and safety. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Melvin and Sydney are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from reliance on the site or use of third-party products or services. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or responsibilities that applicable law does not allow to be excluded.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama, United States, subject to any protections or requirements that applicable law does not permit the parties to waive.

Children

CornerBuilt is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. People under 13 may not create an account or provide personal information through the account service.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms when the site or its practices change. The effective date shown on this page identifies the current version. Updates will be posted here; the site does not have a system for individual email notices.
